Dear Visitors of the European nature preserve Kühkopf-Knoblochsaue,

The largest European nature preserve of Hesse (2400 hectares) will provide you with detailed information about various subjects.

Its wild-life together with the ecological system is represented by brilliant photographs, clearly arranged show-cases, a diorama with living trees and padded animal bodies that reproduces the different zones of the rich meadows and forest, and last but not least by a big mock-up that can be flooded.

Children particularly like to roam about and palpate for instance different animal skins displayed in a special box

The information centre is open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Whereas the Kühkopf can be visited at any time all over the year, we would ask to make an appointment, if you want to see the exhibition out of office hours.

Admission to the park and guided tour (on demand) in the centre are free.
